Nancy Barker

Nancy Carroll Swing Barker, age 86, of Lexington passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Accordius Health in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Hepler officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Ms. Barker was born in Davidson County on September 30, 1933 to John Henry Tussey and DeDe Demanda Swing. She was a retired machine operator, having worked for Parkdale Mills and attended Leonard Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Riley K. Barker; and a sister, RV Mauldin.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Patricia B. Greene (Larry) and Laura B. Shupe (Jimmy) all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Melissa Greene, Mandy Towler (Jerry), Brian Barker, Ashley Moser, Randi Shupe, Corey Shupe and Autumn Shupe; and a host of great-grandchildren.
