Mrs. Brinkle was born March 15, 1935, to Lawrence Glenn Beck and Lottie Leonard Beck. She was an avid choir member at her church. We will always cherish the wonderful memories of “honey”, mom, and mamaw. We will miss her delicious potato salad and her tasty garage mamaw soup. Her smile and tender sweetness will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a beautiful lady who taught us all what life is really about. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, going with the sisters for “Sister Day”, and sharing her love for life with all of us. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Clayton Beck. Surviving are her loving husband of 57 and a half years, Fred Wayne Brinkle; a daughter, Rhonda Brinkle Haywood of Churchland and a special friend Richie; a son, Mike Brinkle and his wife, Pattie, of Churchland; two granddaughters, Jennifer Haywood Cavanaugh and husband, Brian, of Churchland, Erica Haywood of Lexington; two grandsons, Shaun Brinkle of Churchland and special friend Jordan, Chad Brinkle of Churchland and special friend, Leighanne; and one great-grandson, Matthew Upchurch of Churchland; two sisters, Merlyn Snider and husband, Lester, of Salisbury, Joyce Fritts and husband, Kenneth, of Mt. Gilead; and an honorary sister, Alene Aldridge and her husband, Lewis, of Salisbury; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to all the nurses and doctors at High Point Regional Hospital and Forsyth Medical Center for the care they gave to her. Memorials in memory of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother may be made to St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 4299 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295.
