Nancy Koontz Carlton

Nancy Koontz Carlton, 82 of Rowe Rd. Lexington passed away Friday June 6, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. David Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Carlton was born in Davidson County on August 22, 1931 to C. Lake Koontz and Nell Everhart Koontz. She retired from the Davidson County Schools after 33 years of service and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Carson “Bo” Carlton on March 17, 2008. Surviving are her son Gregory Carson Carlton and wife Shelley of Lexington; grandchildren Abby Carlton and Rachel Carlton; her loving double first cousin, Peggy Davis and husband Luke as well as, other cousins and close friends.
