Nancy Elizabeth Lewellyn Cooke

Nancy Elizabeth Lewellyn Cooke, 79, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab.

A 2:00 pm funeral service is planned for Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Jim Vickrey officiating. A visitation for the family will be from 1:00pm- 2:00pm prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Nancy was born September 5, 1939 in Forsyth County, NC to James Franklin Lewellyn and Mallie Brannock Lewellyn. Mrs. Cooke was a dedicated member of Waughtown Baptist Church for over thirty years. Her membership was moved to Victory Baptist Church in Thomasville for the last three years of her life.

Mrs. Cooke was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 30 years, James Ray Cooke.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Cook and wife Dinah of  Walnut Cove, NC; Lee Cooke and wife Karen of  Winston-Salem, NC; one daughter, Donna Cooke of Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren, Chandler Cooke; Scottie Perdue; Dawn Freeman; Amber Freeman; Dustin Freeman and Perry Freeman; three sisters, Dale Luck; Carolyn Holt; Jane Chandler; and one brother, James Lewellyn.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Cooke Family.
