Nancy Carol Dobson

Nancy Carol Canter Dobson, 73 of Old Hwy 52 passed away Wednesday afternoon at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Lem Sprinkle officiating. Mrs. Dobson was born in Forsyth County June 25, 1935 to Nonnie Lester Canter and Mary Longworth Canter. She was a self-employed private duty nurse. Nancy was a member of House of Prayer in Kernersville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Weldon Dobson, Jr.. Surviving are two daughers; Cathy Adkins and special friend Ronnie Church and Loretta “Sis” Dobson all of Winston-Salem. One brother, Larry Canter of King; four grandchildren, Zack, Marlo and husband Bobby, Angel and husband Andy, Misty and special friend Andy Ricketts; four great-grandsons, Casey, Alex, Robert and Tristan. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 PM, Saturday at the funeral home and other times at Loretta’s residence. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
