Nancy Gobble

Nancy Koontz (Maxine) Gobble, age 81, of Lexington died Monday, August 9, 2010 in Brookstone Retirement Center after several years of declining health. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Johns and Rev. David Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday prior to the memorial service. Mrs. Gobble was born April 11, 1929 in Davidson County to Bertie Lee Koontz and Louetta Orrell Koonts. She was a retired employee with the City of Lexington and was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Thurman Lee Koontz, B.L. Koontz, Orrell Koontz, and three sisters, Mildred Tussey, Catherine Kines and Rachel Williams. Surviving are her husband, Paul Edwin Gobble of Brookstone; a daughter, Shari G. Hankins and husband, Gary of Lexington; a grandson, Sgt. Phillip Matthew Williams and wife, Lisa; and a great granddaughter, Annabelle Grace Williams.
