Nancy Trexler Hedrick

Nancy Trexler Hedrick age 86, of Lexington, passed away early Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, at Bethany United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. David Talbert officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 2PM to 4PM prior to the service. Nancy was born in Davidson County on February 11, 1926 to Joseph Alex Trexler and Iola Tussey Trexler. She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Ashemore Business College, and was very active at Bethany, and was a member of the choir with over 50 years service. On January 10, 1947 she married Charles Matthew Hedrick at Bethany. She and Charles were the first couple to be married in the church, and would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on the 10th of this month. Her parents and a brother, Joe Trexler preceded her in death. In addition to Charles, she is survived by sons; Charles R. “Ricky” Hedrick and William D. “Billy” Hedrick and wife Joan both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Garrett Hedrick, Cory Hedrick and wife Lydia, Julie Richardson and husband Justin and Mark Hedrick; two great-grandchildren Gray and Kate Hedrick.
