Nancy Hege

Nancy Ridge Hege, 77, of Remer Regan Road, passed away Monday afternoon, April 28, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center.  The funeral will be 2 pm Friday May 2, 2014, at Reedy Creek Church of Christ, where she was a member, conducted by Pastors James Percival and Jerry Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Thursday night from 6 to 8 pm and at other times at their respective homes.  Nancy was born March 31, 1937, in Davidson County, to Howard and Katherine Lohr Ridge. She had worked at Wrenn Hoisery Mill before becoming self employed. Her parents and husband Jimmy Clayborn Hege preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Ridge; and a sister, Linda Turner.   Surviving are a son, Lenny Hege of Lexington; daughters, Angela Shelley and husband Kenneth of Thomasville and Amanda Hege of Lexington; grandchildren, Harold Blackburn and wife Brittany, Markcus Blackburn and Elizabeth Soles; and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Freddie Ridge of Southmont; and sister, Lena Wilson and husband Ray of Linwood.
