Nancy Lopp Scarlett

Nancy Lopp Scarlett, 89, of Lexington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Mrs. Scarlett was deeply loved by her family who treasure the many years of loving her and being blessed with her joyful laughter and immense love.

Nancy loved God and family with unconditional dedication. As a woman with a huge heart, she gave generously and selflessly to many charitable causes.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Inurnment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Scarlett was born February 5, 1930, in Davidson County, to Banks Irving Lopp and Emma Lee Moser Lopp. Mrs. Scarlett was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from PPG Industries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, William Lloyd Scarlett; a daughter, Connie Ann Scarlett; and sister, Mildred Lopp Coppley.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Scarlett of Lexington; grandchildren, Jennifer Warren of New York City and Amy Christensen and husband Dale of Lexington; and great-grandchildren, Chance Pressley and Bailey Christensen.

The family asks that any memorial gifts be directed to Cancer Services of Davidson County, 25 West 6th Avenue, Lexington, NC 27292 in Mrs. Scarlett's honor.
