Nancy Welch Sexton

Nancy Welch Sexton 82 of Winston-Salem went to her eternal home Wednesday, October 30, 2013. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 1, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Ottis Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home of Charles and Carolyn Sexton. Nancy was born August 8, 1931 in Guilford County to Henry Gray and Maggie Blakley Welch. She worked in the Forsyth County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard Glenn Sexton; sisters, Mildred Byrd and Lola Smith; brothers, Monroe, Thomas, Henry, William and Robert Welch. Nancy was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Charles Ray Sexton (Carolyn) of Winston-Salem, Richard Gray Sexton (Kerry) of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; a daughter Pamela Jean Morrison of Winston-Salem; sister, Mary West of Lexington; brother Jack Welch, Sr. of Trinity; four grandchildren, Madailein, Aedan and Liam Sexton, Amanda White and numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association, 4615 Dundas Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
