Nancy Cox Sturdivant

Nancy Cox Sturdivant, age 69, of Tyro in Lexington, NC passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015 at her home after an extended illness. A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Saturday February 7, 2015 at Testimonial Baptist Church in Thomasville, where she was a member, with the Rev. Carl Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Carolina Biblical Gardens in Jamestown, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday February 6, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Mrs. Sturdivant was born on January 23rd 1946 in Guilford County to John Henry Cox and Estell Inez Montgomery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Arthur Sturdivant and her brothers, Edgar Lewis Cox and Marvin Keith Cox. Surviving are her daughters, Christina Huneycutt (Dale) of Lexington, Deborah Lawrence (Randy) of Trinity, NC, Tracy Frady (Maylon) of Lexington, NC, and Rhonda Pletcher of Thomasville, NC; one brother, John Montgomery Jefferson Cox (Stephanie) of SC; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
