Nancy Swicegood

Nancy Curry Swicegood, 83, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Shiloh Church of Lexington, with Rev. Paul Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Swicegood was born in Davidson County on October 27, 1942, to the late Odell Monroe Curry and Mae Black Curry. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who always cared deeply for her family. A longtime member of Shiloh Church of Lexington, Nancy’s faith guided her life and the way she loved others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Leon” Swicegood; brothers, John Robert Curry and Frank Curry; and sisters, Betty Koontzand Connie McMahan.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Dale Swicegood (Kimberly); sister, Martha Byerly; cherished grandson, Matthew Swicegood (Jordann); precious great-grandson, Levi Swicegood; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
