Nancy Mahala Talley

Nancy Mahala Talley, 74, of Green Meadow Drive, died Tuesday February 18, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday February 21, 2014 at New Testament Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Jimmy Green and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Davidson funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Mrs. Talley was born June 6, 1939 in Davidson County to James Harvey Mahala and Molly Irene George Mahala. She was retired from Dixie Furniture. Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Daniels and Betty Jean Rickard. Surviving are her husband, Ron Eugene Talley of the home, three sons; Michael Sink and wife Bonita, Craig Sink and wife Mandy, and Ron Talley Jr. and wife Debbie all of Lexington, two daughters; Donna Tompkins of Georgia and Carolyn Ball and husband Michael of Raleigh, two brothers; Larry Mahala of Lexington and Clark Mahala and wife Joyce of Salisbury, three sisters; Barbara Bailey and husband Roger of Salisbury, Libby Cross and husband Wayne, and Joyce Felker and husband John both of Lexington, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
