Nancy Weaver Winston

Nancy Weaver Winston, 80 of Walser Rd., Lexington died Sunday November 4, 2012 in Hinkle Hospice House after a serious illness of 6 weeks. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home at other times at the home on Walser Rd. Nancy was born in Davidson County on September 16, 1932 to Lloyd Augustus Weaver and Nellie Biesecker Weaver. She graduated from Draughn Business School and worked for Dixie Furniture 48 years before retiring as Director of Orders. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ where she was a former Secretary and Treasurer. She was a member of the Dixie Troopers and volunteered at Wake Forest Lexington Medical Center in the gift shop. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Frances Bruff. Surviving are Henry Richard “Bob” Winston of the home, daughter Vicki Winston Blair and husband Robert of Surfside Beach, SC, brother Billy Weaver and wife Loraine of Lexington. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
