Nannie Elizabeth Hege

Nannie Elizabeth Hanes Hege age 91, of Berrier Road went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday April 23, 2010 at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday April 22, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the residence. Nannie was born in Forsyth County on December 24, 1918 to Marvin Leroy Hanes and Rosa Mae Zimmerman Hanes. She retired from Swift Inc. after 40 years of service also of Mrs. Hanes Moravian Cookies seasonally. A member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Hege, sons; Fred Hege Jr. and Morris Hege. A daughter; Suzanne Nifong. Brothers; Belvin Hanes, Calvin Hanes. A grandchild; Sara Hege. She is survived by her brothers; John Hanes and wife Ann of Lexington, Travis Hanes and wife Evva of Clemmons, Guy Hanes of Shelby. A sister; Dale Hanes Foust of Welcome. Grandchildren; Jason Nifong, Candace Vandermark, Marcie Johnson. Great – grandchildren; Joe Vandermark, Adam Vandermark, Haven Nifong, Jamie Jester, Michael Johnson Jr. In lieu of flowers the family would like for memorials to be directed to: Good Hope United Methodist Church. 10253 Hampton Road, Lexington, NC 27295 Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
