Nannie Milam Purdue, 94, of Lexington, passed away Thursday March 2, 2023 at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center in Lexington.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday March 6, 2023 at Lexington Church of God with Pastor Rodney Murrell officiating services. Burial will follow at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Purdue was born August 10, 1928 in Davidson County to Albert Johnson Milam and Rebecca Moncus Milam. Nannie enjoyed gardening, Flowers and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bert Milam and Homer Milam; two sisters, Myrtle Loman and Frances Craver; and one grandchild Steven Dale Lawson Smith.
Surviving are four sons, Albert William Purdue (Faith) of High Point, Roger Purdue (Judy) of Tyro, Cleveland Purdue (Angela) and Jeff Purdue (Cathy) of Southmont; two daughters, Joyce Miller (Ricky) of Linwood and Janie Tucker of the home; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Tim Williard for his love and care for many years.
