Nathan Brian Henry Burns, 22, of Owen Road, Lexington passed away Monday morning from injuries received in an automobile accident The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church by the Revs. Bobby Burns and David Robinson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Burns was born January 18, 1986, in Davidson County to Brian Nelson Burns and Tammy Hamilton Hege. He was a graduate of Central Davidson High School and Davidson County Community College; former employee of O’Reilly Auto Parts; and preparing to begin his life serving our country in the United States Air Force on December 30, 2008, when he would begin basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas. Surviving are his father, Brian Burns and his wife, Wendy, of Lexington; his mother, Tammy Hamilton Hege and her husband, Tracy, of Linwood; brothers, Kass Burns and Shaun Hamilton both of Lexington; a stepsister, Brittany Jones of Greensboro; grandparents, Pat Burns of Lexington, Linda Miller of Denton, James Mahala of Salisbury, Julia and Gray Koontz of Linwood, Darlene Burns and Wade Taylor, Faye Clodfelter, and Larry and Mary Hamilton, all of Lexington; and great-grandmother, Ruth Calloway of Spencer. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the father’s home, 6815 NC Highway 8 and the mother’s home, 2204 Simmerson Road.
