Navahlia Quesenberry

Navahlia Hanners Quesenberry, 80, formerly of W. 2nd Avenue, Lexington, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 22 at First Presbyterian Church in Lexington, NC, by the Rev. Jon Martin. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Navahlia was born on September 25, 1944, in Ironton, Ohio to Cecil Hanners and Esther Marie Eastham. She was a dedicated educator, having earned her BA from Concord University and her M.Ed. from West Virginia University and retired from Davidson County Schools. Navahlia was deeply involved in her community, serving as a founder and instructor for the Lexington and Denton Cotillion Clubs, and as a past president of the Lexington Women's Club. She was also an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Lexington, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. Her husband, Arnold "Butch" Quesenberry preceded her in death. Navahlia is survived by her son, Scott Quesenberry and his wife, Heather and their two children; her daughter, Mikilene Quesenberry Hinsch; and her beloved grandchildren, Abby Scott O'Donovan, and Carver O'Donovan as well as her sister Joella Hanners Maxon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Davidson-Davie Community College Foundation, PO Box 1287, Lexington NC 27293.
