ND Dalton, age 83, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church on Village Drive on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Bishop Quentin Boger officiating. Entombment will follow at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
Mr. Dalton was born in Iredell County on July 5, 1935 to David Dalton and Jessie Jones Dalton. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his memory will be forever cherished. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Dulin, TJ Dalton, and Wayne Dalton; one sister, Geraldine Dalton; and a grandson Roddrick Boger.
Surviving are his loving wife, Erma Jefferies-Dalton of the home; two daughters, Donna Faye Dalton Boger (Quentin) and Rhonda Kaye Dalton Wagner (Byron) and their mother, Etta Dalton; five step-sons, Rick Jefferies (Sherri), Kenneth Jefferies, Romus Jefferies (Belinda), Darrin Jefferies (Debbie), and Christopher Jefferies (Alura); six brothers, Harvey Dalton (Patricia), James Dalton (Delores), Ernest Dalton (Stacy), Cecil Dalton (Brenda), Tony Dalton (Shirley), and Zayne Dalton (Vern); one sister, Ernestine Dalton Henderson; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
