Neil Joyner Johnson

Neil Joyner Johnson, 91, of Two Ponds Lane, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Britthaven of Davidson. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel by the Rev. Mike Orman, pastor of Love of God Baptist Church, Thomasville. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Johnson was born June 22, 1916, in Sampson County, to Mathren Johnson and Myrtle Bell Spearman Johnson. He was co-owner of Quality Saw Shop. He attended Church of God on West Fourth Avenue. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Bowers Johnson, who died in 1997. Surviving are sons, Kenneth Wayne Johnson and wife, Brenda, and Ronald Neal Johnson and wife, Pat, all of Lexington; and a grandson, Jeffery Johnson of Lexington. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Chapel
