Nell Shaw

Nell Everhart Shaw, 87, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Lexington Health Care after an extended illness. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Darrell Sluder. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the son on Louya Road. Mrs. Shaw was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Davidson County to Gurley James Everhart and Allie Loman Everhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Philmon "Phil" Shaw; her son, Vick Shaw; daughter Phyllis Phillips; and three grandchildren. Surviving are her son, Robert Shaw and wife Ginger; four sisters, Gladys, Frankie, Francis and Maxine; daughter-in-law Lucy Shaw; son-in-law Joe Phillips; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
