Nell Thompson

Annelle Lena Williamson Hightower Thompson, age 92 of Lexington passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Terry Wofford officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Ms. Thompson was born in Springvale, GA on August 29, 1926 to Arthur H. Williamson and Bobbie Phillips Williamson. She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for H.B. Fuller Glue Company and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John D. Hightower; and her second husband, Jack Peoples Thompson.

Surviving are her son, Dan Hightower (Becky) of Lexington; sister, Freda Boswell of Alabama; 2 grandchildren, Rachel Hightower Ward of Clemmons and Jonathan Hightower (Whitney) of Lynchburg, VA; and five great-grandchildren, Janaa, Caleb, and Ellison Ward and Drew and Wyatt Hightower.
