Nellie Farthing Fish

Nellie Rosette Farthing Fish, 77, of Lexington, left this world Monday April 10, 2023 from her home joining Jesus and her loved ones.

Mrs. Fish was born July 1, 1945 in Watauga County to Jack Farthing and Pearl Farthing. Nellie was a member of Tyro Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larence Farthing and two sisters, Gladys Sharpe, Margaret Grace Farthing and Betty Hicks .

Surviving is her husband, of 45 years, John Wayne Fish, of the home; one brother, Duey Farthing (Linda) of Boone; three sisters, Lois Hicks (David) of Boone, Carolyn Owens (James) of Lexington and Shirley Tester (Waldo) of Greensboro.

As John words it, “We have had a wonderful life together, She will be sorely missed”.
