Nellie Marie O'Ferrell

Nellie Marie O’Ferrell, age 83, of Midway passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. The service will be 4:00 PM Monday, March 29, 2010 at Union Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ken Harris, Dr. Harold Fletcher, and Rev. T. W. Bailey; burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 –9:00 PM, Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel. Marie was born May 20, 1926 in Guilford County to George and Metta Davis O’Ferrell. She was a cashier with the Family Dollar Store. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, R. L. O’Ferrell, and Glenn Davis O’Ferrell and a great-granddaughter Brittani Ames. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ames and husband Edward Jr., one sister Mary Bodenhamer of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren Sonya Potter and husband Kelly of Louisville, Kentucky, April Brewer and husband Matthew of Winston-Salem; one great-grandchild Steven Ames. Memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 2295 Union Grove Road, Lexington, NC 27295. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
