Nick Leonard

John Nicholas Leonard, 37, of Wilson Road, died Saturday, February 11 at Rowan Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, February 16 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Nick was born November 6, 1985 in Davidson County to Johnny Colin Leonard and Jerrie Anderson Leonard. He was a young man who was loved more than he could ever comprehend. A proud loving father, who would give anyone his last dollar or the shirt off his back. A car enthusiast who drove fast and furious, he was usually quiet and reserved, but a strong, loyal defender for all his loved ones. He is survived by his parents; his son, Carter Leonard of the home; his sister, Leeann Leonard Hill (Chet); his grandmothers, Carolyn Brainard and Bernice Leonard, and his nephew and niece, Eli and Jocie Hill. He was surrounded with love by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will live on through the many lives he saved through the miracle of organ donation.
