Nikki Philemon Slemp

Nikki Rae Philemon Slemp, 71, of Kimberly Lane, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, at her home.   A private celebration of life service will be held at Lexington City Cemetery conducted by Pastor Mike Hillard.   The family will receive friends at the home of a daughter, Alisa Johnson, on Hugh Miller Road, Lexington, Saturday, February 9th, after 2:00 pm.   Mrs. Slemp was born January 19, 1942, in Mecklenburg County, to Wade DeArmond Philemon and Anna Pauline Hamm Philemon. She was retired from Morris Used Cars and a member of High Rock Community Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore Everhart.   Surviving are daughters, Sheila Kersey, Alisa Johnson and husband Keith, and Mandi Burkhart and husband Keith, all of Lexington; five grandchildren, Hannah Kersey, Matthew Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Ashton Burkhart and Madi Burkhart;brother, Steve Philemon and wife Brenda of Lexington.   Memorials may be made to Davidson County Meals on Wheels, PO Box 1697, Lexington, NC  27293 or to High Rock Community Church, 135 Lowes Blvd. Lexington, NC  27292.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
