Nina Jane Lanning

Nina Murdock Lanning, 80, of Old Linwood Road, died Tuesday, October 27, at Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Smith Grove Baptist Church, by the Pastor Terry Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home on Old Linwood Road. Mrs. Lanning was born October 27, 1935 in Iredell County to Harold James Murdock and Hattie Mae Mullis Murdock. Her husband, Fred Henry Lanning, preceded her in death as well as a Grandchild Kiykna Hobkins She is survived by a son, Brad Lanning, of Lexington, and friend, Lisa Ward of Salisbury; a daughter, Charlene Lanning Anderson of Linwood, grandchildren, Crystal Dawn Lanning of Salisbury, Brad Jeffrey Lanning, II, of Salisbury and Tyler Ross Anderson of the home; great grandchildren, Michael Wayne Gonsalves, Marc Dale Austin, Alissa Rankin and Lilly Louise Lanning.
