Nina Callahan Tesh

Nina Callahan Tesh, 88, of Kenwood Lane, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Frankie Matthews and the Rev. Dr. Gary Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, and other times at the home. Mrs. Tesh was born December 28, 1925, in Surry County, to Jessie Callahan and Ila Callahan. She was retired from Dixie Furniture where she had worked 42 years at the stock counter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Tim Tesh. Surviving are her loving husband of 68 years, David Tesh, of the home; son, Ron Tesh and wife, Carol, of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren, Dana, Stacie, Nikki, T.J., and Jesse; brother, Phil Callahan and wife, Judy, of Lexington; and sister-in-law, Wanda Allred of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sheets Memorial Christian School, 210 Cotton Grove Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
