Nonie Burch Rhodes

Nonie Burch Rhodes, age 88 of Benson formerly of Lexington passed away Wednesday morning, August 26, 2015 at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday August 29, 2015 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday night. Nonie was born Davidson County January 4, 1927 to James Frank and Fannie Powell Burch. She was a retired employee of PPG and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Vickie Kearns Rhodes; sister, Mary Jane Strickland; brother, Ralph Burch, sister-in-law, Pauline Burch. Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Roark of Benson; son, Luke Rhodes (June) of Lexington; grandchildren, Kelly Segers (Chris) of Pilot Mountain, Scott Rhodes(Julie), Renee’ Byerly (Bobby), Paula Farmer (David) all of Lexington, Misty Rose (Mark) and Zach Rhodes all of Benson; great-grandchildren; Abbie Lanham (Zach), Lucas Rhodes, Richard Segers, Jacob Segers, Tori Byerly, Alie Byerly and Miranda Farmer; great-great granddaughter, Chloe Lanham; brothers, Norman Burch, Marvin Burch (Brenda) and Thomas Burch (Thelma) all of Lexington; Pete Burch of Elkin, Roger Burch (Susan) of Knob Noster, MO and Benny Burch (Judy) of Pennsylvania.
