Nora Lee Spaugh Bryant

Nora Lee Spaugh Bryant age 86 of Reid Road, Winston Salem NC passed away Sunday April 14, 2019 at her home.

A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Samaritan Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member conducted by Rev. Daniel Smith Sr. and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Bryant was born May 13, 1932 in  Forsyth  County to Jacob Alonzo Spaugh and Lena Gertrude Miller Spaugh. She was a homemaker and a member of the Women Missionary Group at Samaritan Baptist Church.  She was known as the neighborhood mom.  Her parents and a daughter, Josie Bryant preceded her in death. Also preceded by a brother, David Spaugh and sisters, Bertha Myers, Virginia Graham, Rosa Myers and Harriett Shipley

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Charles Junior Bryant of the home. Her daughters, Susan Yokeley and Julia Garner (Stevan) all of Wallburg and sons, Charles Bryant (Martha) of Winston Salem. Mitchell Bryant (DeWilla) of Lexington and Forrest Bryant (Heidi) of Fayetteville. There are nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and a sister Becky Doby of Winston Salem.
