Nora Mae Hege

Nora Mae Hege, 96 of Rocky Knob Road passed away early Wednesday morning August 20, 2008 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM August 22, 2008 at Good Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hege was born November 13, 1911 in Davidson County to W. J. (Jim) and Bessie Mize. She was a faithful member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and a member of the Womens Bible Class. Nora was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Hege, Sr. and a son Lawrence Hege, Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Lucy Higgins (Douglas) of Winston-Salem, Frances Sturdivant (Ronald), Nancy Leonard (Bob), Janet Freeman (Gary) all of Lexington. Four sisters, Kathleen Pickett of Asheboro, Mildred Koontz, Ethel Leatherman, and Elsie Wray of Lexington. Eleven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
