Nora Helen Clodfelter Morris, 91, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Pilgrim Reformed Church with the Rev. Richard Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the Church.
Mrs. Morris was born on January 1, 1928 in Davidson County to Lloyd and Kila Clodfelter. She graduated from Pilot School and Ashmore Business College. Mrs. Morris worked for Belk-Martin for 44 years in the office and as office manager. She was a lifelong member of Pilgrim Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a faithful choir member. As a dedicated member, she served the church in almost every area of church involvement. She volunteered for Davidson County through singing in the Senior Chorus for over 33 years as well as singing in the Community Candlelight Service. She helped feed the homeless, delivered meals on wheels and helped with donation collection and delivery to many local organizations through her Forever Friends group. Mrs. Morris served in many areas of outreach through church, friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita, Gladys and Mary-Etta; and her loving husband Fred.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers and their wives, John and Carlene Clodfelter and Kenny and Judy Clodfelter; her son, Aaron Morris and wife Debbie; her daughter, Myra Cannon and husband Keith; five grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua and Elizabeth Morris, Jacob Morris and Emily Armond, Jessica and Joey Adams, Joseph and Jessica Cannon and Jennifer and Michael Farmer; four great-grandchildren, Emlyn, Juniper, Harrison and Chloe; and many other loving relatives and special friends including her loving sunshine sisters, for she was also known as Mamma Sunshine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
