Nora Jones Spears

Nora “Bernice” Jones Spears, 84, of Denton, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Mountain Vista Health Park.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, November 22nd at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Pastor Steve Phillippi officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, prior to the service on, November 22nd at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.

Bernice was born May 7, 1939, in Alamance County NC, to Otha Vester and Bessie Jones. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Jackie Spears, and brothers, Fred, Harrison, and Vester Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Jackson Carl “JC” Spears, her daughters; Dorothy Spears of Durham, Jeanette Spears Brown (Gary) of Lexington, Lisa Seawell (Billy) of New London, and Mary Reese (Earl) of Asheville, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
