Norma Wagner Griffin, age 76, went to be with her Lord on Saturday May 26, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday May 31, at Woodland Cemetery in Winston-Salem NC, with Preacher Jim Chatham officiating.
Visitation will be at the cemetery, following the service.
Norma was born in Surry County on October 27, 1935 to Clarence Bivens and Gladys McCraw Wagner. She was member of Elon Baptist Church and retired from Shoney’s Restaurant. Norma loved reading, writing, word searches, coloring, and spending time on the beach picking up sea shells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ted (Teddy Ray) & Donald (Duck) Wagner and her sister Juanita Wagner.
Norma leaves to cherish her memories of strong will, love, courage and faith: son, Henry Griffin; daughter, Robin Griffin both of Winston-Salem; brothers, Kenneth L. Wagner (Carolyn), Frank M. Wagner (Theresa) ; sister, Betty Jo Bourne (Billy) all of Winston-Salem; many nieces and nephews and all of her special friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Norma Griffin Memorial Fund, @ Wells Fargo Bank, 3171 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27127.
The family would like to thank all those who came to visit, also the family who have lovingly cared for her and supported us during the past several months.
