Nova Lee Mauney Harper

Nova Lee Mauney Harper, 74 of Avondale Dr. Lexington passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at Abbotts Creek Nursing Home. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Disher officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home. Nova was born on September 18, 1941 to Lee O. and Bertha Taylor Mauney. She was a member of Community Life Church. She graduated from Lexington Senior High School and Ashmore Business College. She retired from Life and Casualty Insurance Company and worked at Davidson Green House. Nova was an avid fan of Wake Forest University and the Atlanta Braves. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband David Neil Harper. Surviving are brother, Thomas P. Mauney (Iris) of Lexington; Stepson, David Harper (Karla) of Pilot Mountain; Nephew, Thomas Lee Mauney of Raleigh; Niece, Bettie Manuey Perryman; Great Nephew, Luke Perryman and Great Niece Lydia Perryman all of Lexington.
