Odell Powell

Odell L. Powell age 81 of Lexington passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Lexington Health Care.    A funeral service will be  2:00 pm Saturday January 6, 2018 at Good Hope United Methodist Church where he was a member conducted by Rev. Joseph Fulk III and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service and at other times at his daughters home.   Mr. Powell was born April 29, 1936 in  Davidson County to  Raymond Powell and Ruth Jarvis Powell.  His parents  and his wife Mamie Whisenhunt Powell preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Bobby Powell and R. G. Powell.   Surviving are a daughter, Angela Brown and her husband Corey  of Lexington and a son, Rodney Powell  and  Fiance` Angela Lambeth of Raleigh N.C. . His grandchildren, Sarah Brown,  Heather Brown,  and his step grandchildren, Brittany Hedrick and Wiatt Hedrick all of Lexington. Also surviving are a brother, David Powell of Lexington and sister in law Mary Keaton and Frankie Powell both of Lexington and Rachel Powell of Asheboro.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
