Odessie Magdalene Shoaf, age 98 of Lanier Road, Lexington passed away Sunday morning at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Michael officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Odessie was born in Davidson County January 16, 1917 to Baxter Farris Shoaf and Lillian Reid Shoaf. She was a retired employee of Kayby Mills and a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Frank Shoaf; daughters, Carolyn Jonell Eddinger, Renda Jean Link and Janice Darlene Miller; brothers, Reid, Russel, Woodrow and Hulin Shoaf; sisters, Lula May Walser, Aileen Craver, Ruth Lambeth and Lether Walser.
Surviving are grandchildren, Reid Eddinger, Kerry Miller, Shawn Link and Tasha Perry; great-grandchildren Austin Eddinger, Brandi Cooper, Landon Perry, Alysa Perry, and Kayla Long; two great-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Cooper and Noah Long; and a sister, Elsie Leonard of Lexington.
