Olgie Leonard Carne

Olgie Leonard Carne, 95, of Happy Hill Road, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 4:00 pm Saturday (May 9th, 2015) at Reeds Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Beck and Clarence Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday (May 8th, 2015). Mrs. Carne was born October 17, 1919, in Davidson County, to James Cleveland Leonard and Mamie Bertha Leonard Leonard. She was owner/operator of Olgie’s Beauty Shop which she opened in 1953. Mrs. Carne was a member of Reeds Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carne who died in 1978. Surviving are son, Gene Carne Jr. and wife Patty of Lake Wylie, SC; daughter, Suzanne Davis and husband Scott of Lexington; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
