Olin Eugene Haltom, age 73, of Clemmons passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home with family by his side. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday, February 13, 2015 at Centenary United Methodist Church with Pastor Arnold Gosnell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Olin was born February 28, 1941 in Davidson County to Howard Milton Haltom and Fallie Floyd Haltom. Olin was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and had served in the United States Army. He was a retired employee of Thomas Built Bus of High Point. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife Shirley Weaver Haltom of the home, son; Tony Haltom of Lexington, daughter; Lisa Phelps ( Jeff ) of Lexington, grandchildren; Daniel Michael, Cory Michael ( Shannon ), Jacob Michael, step grandchildren; Courtney Phelps, Savannah Phelps, step great grandchildren; Summer Haverkos and Jayce Haverkos, brother; James Haltom (Sue) of Lexington. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
