Ollie Isabelle Nifong Boyles

Ollie Isabelle Nifong Boyles, 85, of Gumtree Road, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. The funeral was at 11 a.m. today at Midway United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. John Woods and Robin Fitzgerald. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Boyles was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Davidson County to Luther Nifong and Hattie Smith Nifong. She was a retired private duty registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Norman Boyles; five brothers, Dr. J. Smith Nifong, P.I. Nifong, Paul Nifong, Everette Nifong and Verge Nifong; and one sister, Esther Nifong Doby. Surviving are a daughter, Peggy Boyles, and a son, Mark Boyles, and his wife, Becky, all of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Katie and Hailey Boyles of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family received friends Sunday night at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Memorials may be made to Midway United Methodist Church Building Fund, 9795 Old U.S. Highway 52 North, Lexington, NC 27295. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Nine West at Forsyth Medical Center, the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and to their church family and friends for all their love and support.
