Ollie Allen Loggins, age 89, of Lexington Health Care, formerly of South Ford Street, Lexington passed away Friday night (2-18-2011) at Lexington Health Care. Funeral service will be 2:30 pm Monday (2-21-2011) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Langley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday and at other times at the home of Barbara Dudney, 701 W. Fourth Avenue, Ext. Lexington.
Mrs. Loggins was born in Davidson County March 14, 1921 to William Samuel Allen and Nevada Kirby Allen. She was a member of Four Square Gospel Church and a homemaker.
She was considered Grandma, to many children over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph “Frank” Loggins in 1970; daughter, Tracy Lanning; two grandsons, Donnie Dudney and Jeff Little; two sisters, Minnie Talbert and Ruth Brindle; one brother, Junior Allen; two sons in laws; Cecil Dudney and Delmar Little.
Surviving are; three daughters, Barbara Dudney, Ollie “Sis” Little and Frances Wall and husband Sherrill all of Lexington; one son Gary Loggins and wife Glenda of Winston Salem;
nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Health Care, Unit B for all their love and support over the years and especially two staff that she loved dearly, B.J. and Michelle.
