Oneta "Nete Hilts Meyer Martin

"Oneta “Nete” Hilts Meyer Martin, 91, of Genesis Healthcare, formerly of Mendota Avenue, died Friday, July 06, 2012, at the nursing center. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Martin was born March 31, 1921, in Rowan County, to Charles David Meyer and Mary Dallie Bost Meyer. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William B. Martin who died on January 23, 2002; daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Martin; grandson, Billy Morton; brother, Jack Malcolm; and sister, Mary Kathleen Battaile. Surviving are sons, Jack David Martin of Lexington and Charles W “Sonny” Martin and wife Barbara of Wadesboro; daughters, Rebecca Ann Martin of Lexington and Pat Cable and friend Paul Teague of Kernersville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
