Opal Myers Kimbrell

Opal Myers Kimbrell, 95, of Western Boulevard in Lexington, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Lexington Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 2 ^nd at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev.Vernon Peterson officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.  Visitation with family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 1 ^st at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Opal was born in Davidson County on February 5, 1923 to Bryan and Zada Leonard Myers.  She had previously worked at the Forsyth County Court House and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James ‘Jim’ David Kimbrell; brothers, Bryan Myers, Jr. and Billie Myers; daughter, Judy Phillips; son-in-law, Bob Phillips, and several treasured pets.

Surviving are granddaughter, Chris Phillips, of the home; a sister, Lib Kinney, of Lexington, and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends.
