Orpha Coleman Yates

Orpha Coleman Yates, 73, of Dale Ridge Lane, Lexington, died Monday March 6, 2017, at the Kiser Hospice Home in Salisbury.  A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday March 11, 2017 at the Yates and Deel Cemetery in Virginia.  Mrs. Yates was born January 22, 1944 in Buchanan County Virginia to Oliver Coleman and Mindy Deel Coleman. She was a member of Old Regular Baptist Church and was preceded in death her parents, her husband Kenneth Yates; four brothers, George, Casby, Emory and Sherman Coleman; and three sisters, Vandora Boyd, Evelyn Coleman, Pearlie Coleman and Vernie Yates.  Surviving are a son Felix Yates of Silver Valley; a daughter, Lisa Yates of Lexington; two brothers, Davids Coleman and wife Marlene, Burnice Coleman both of Virginia; three sisters, Lexie Hicks and husband Johnny of West Virginia, Sylvia Boyd and husband Ivan of Virginia, and Essie Margaret Coleman of Virgina; three grandchildren, April Amend, Shannon Deel and Shasta Yates; three great –grandchildren, Emma Amend, Jeslyn Deel and Miley Yates.
