Paige Kennedy

Mrs. Margaret Paige Young Kennedy, 89 of New Bowers Road, Lexington died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Centerclair Nursing Home after declining health. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, December 6, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial United Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Kennedy was born April 13, 1921 in Davidson County to Wiley Deaton Young and Pearl Parks Young. She retired from the City of Lexington, water & light departments. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Kennedy, who died June, 2000, her brother; Woodrow Young and her sister; Mrs. Calvin (Irene) Beane. Surviving are two sons, Dennis Kennedy of Lexington and Joel Kennedy of High Point, one daughter, Valeria Brewer and husband, David, of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren, Meredith Powell, Claire Flippen, Benjamin Joel Kennedy, and Lucy Reed Kennedy; four great grandchildren, Tyler Powell, Kennedy Elaine Powell, Helena Paige Flippen and Samantha Naomi Flippen; her brother, Smith Young of Lexington, and her sister, Lillian Greene of Asheboro.
