Pansy Watkins Fritts, age 83 of Alston Brook, formerly of Briggstown Road Lexington passed away Thursday morning, July 7, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist, Lexington Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Johnson and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at East End Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday and at other times at their respective homes. Pansy was born in Davidson County February 21, 1933 to Walter Columbus Watkins and Augusta Burkhart Watkins. She was retired from Hanes Corporation, Weeks Plant. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Fritts; sister, Rose Ellen Watkins; brother, Ardinus “Nick” Watkins; step-daughter, Joyce Fritts. Pansy is survived by sister, Charlean Watkins Morris (Joe) of Lexington; brother, Ralph Watkins of Lexington; step-son, Danny Fritts of Denton; 1 step-grandson and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
