Pat Boyd Benson

Patricia (Pat) Boyd Benson age 70 passed away Thursday afternoon, February 28, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 03, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Pastor Alan Wright officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Pat was born in Forsyth County on July 1, 1942 to Jesse H. Boyd and Lavada Rayfield Boyd. She was head of the English Dept. at Chesapeake School System and a member of Reynolda Presbyerian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Samuel C. Benson and wife Kristin of Roanoke, VA; one grandchild; Elin E. Benson, one sister; Janet B. Pollard and husband Reid, a niece, Anissa Y. Roy and husband Gary; a nephew, Robin A Yates and wife Melissa; great nephews, Colby and Carson; great nieces, Morgan and Ellison.
