Pat Thomason Lax

February 20, 1935 — July 20, 2025

Pat Thomason Lax, 90, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Brookstone Retirement Center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 4:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Pat was born on February 20, 1935, in Davidson County, to the late Malcolm David Thomason and Edith Stiers Thomason. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, devoting her time to her family whom she loved dearly. Her family remembers her fondness for gardening both in her flower beds and her vegetable garden, canning freshly harvested veggies, and cooking wonderful meals.

Pat also had a heart for those around her and would go out of her way to help others. Her selflessness was exhibited in her actions, and she instilled the necessity of kindness in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Don Thomason, and a sister, Mary Koonts.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cindy White (Eddie), of Salisbury, and Patti McClellan, of Kannapolis; sister, Sue Cranford; grandchildren, Tara Elliott (Ryan), Jonathan Fields (Jessica), and Edison White; and one great grandchild, Harrison Fields.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Brookstone and their staff for caring for Pat during her time with them.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
