Patra Koontz Cecil

Patra Koontz Cecil, 95, of Lexington, NC died peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Pineville Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pineville, NC. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Rowe officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 9:45 to 10:45 am Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, just prior to the service. Mrs. Cecil was born June 1, 1919 in Davidson County to Artise P. (Bud) and Lula McDonald Koontz. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Morristown, TN. Preceding her in death was her husband, James F. Cecil, her son Carl E. Cecil, and a brother, Hoyle Koontz. Surviving are a son, Hoyle F. Cecil (Karen) of Charlotte, and her Grandchildren, Jay Cecil (Jordana) and their children, Stephen and Ethan Cecil of Greenwich, CT; Courtney Cecil of Santa Monica CA; Jonathan Cecil (Kristy) and Matthew Cecil (Tabitha) of Daytona Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews.
