Patricia Woodle Hanes

Patricia “Pat” Ann Woodle Hanes, 79, of Linwood, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her beloved husband of 62 years, her children and grandchildren. Pat fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for over 30 years.

She was born on July 9, 1947, to the late Carson and Lorine Leonard Woodle.

Pat is survived by her husband Don, her sons, Scottie Hanes (Loretta) and Craig Hanes (Sydney), her grandsons, Logan Hanes, Justin Hanes and Cody Clevenger (Kimberly).

Pat loved spending time with her family (especially the grandsons), and friends, she got so much pleasure in planting and watching her flowers grow and she enjoyed watching the hummingbirds play right outside her window. She loved to cook for her family when she was able. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone that would listen.

She attended Freedom Baptist Church in Mocksville and loved to hear Pastors Billy Louya and Justin Barkley preach.

A funeral service to honor Pat will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 31st at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be after the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
